PIERCE BROSNAN IS PISSED
Pierce Brosnan, along with the rest of the free world, is wondering what the producers of the new ‘Bond’ film are thinking by casting Daniel Craig as the new 007. Brosnan was Bond for the past four films: Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World is Not Enough and Die Another Day. He was allegedly “heartbroken” at being eschewed in favor of Craig, who will be the first blonde James Bond.
He says: “Whether they made the right choice, who knows? They’re probably scared s**tless, thinking, ‘What have we done?’”
Craig, while not handsome in the Piece Brosnan/Sean Connery mold, is “ugly handsome” in the Timothy Dalton mold. I just watched Craig’s film “Layer Cake” last night, which came off as a really poor “Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels”. The movie was largely dialog driven, and with all of those Brits mumbling switfly and incoherently it was difficult to follow the story. Fortunately for me, the story was mostly rubbish and I spent most of the film wondering why Sienna Miller wasn’t given more screen time.
